Free Ortheses and Pads - How it works

In Ukraine, veterans who already have prostheses can get decorative and protective pads free of charge. This also applies to veterans who are just starting the prosthetics process, as the decorative and protective overlay will be included in the cost of the prosthesis.

Prostheses and decorative protective pads can be obtained free of charge through a state program implemented by the Fund for Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities. Prosthetics are performed primarily for servicemen who defended the Motherland.

The following categories of persons are entitled to free prosthetics:

- Military personnel (reservists, conscripts, volunteers of the Territorial Defense Forces) of the Armed Forces, the National Guard, the SBU, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the State Border Service, the State Special Transit Service, military personnel of military prosecutors' offices;

service, other formed in accordance with the laws of military formations;

- Persons who were part of the voluntary formation of the territorial community, who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and took a direct part in the anti-terrorist operation, being directly in the districts and during its implementation;

- Employees of enterprises, institutions, organizations that were involved and directly participated in ensuring the anti-terrorist operation, being directly in the districts and during its implementation;

- Persons who, during the period of martial law in Ukraine or some of its localities during service, labor and other activities, being directly in the districts and during the period of military (combat) operations, were injured, contusion, mutilation or disease as a result of the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and lost the functional capabilities of a limb or limbs directly during participation in such activities.

MED3DRUK - has several important advantages, which make it a significant project in the field of development and production of orthoses and personalized decorative overlays for functional prostheses using additive technologies.

Social Responsibility: MED3DRUK puts a major emphasis on social responsibility by providing free orthotics and pads for people affected by war. This indicates the focus of the project on helping those in need, which can significantly improve their quality of life.

Integrated development and production: MED3DRUK integrates the stages of development and production of orthoses and pads, which allows you to optimize the process and reduce costs. It can also lead to rapid adoption of new ideas and improvements.

Additive technologies: The use of additive technologies, namely 3D printing, allows you to quickly and accurately create personalized orthoses and pads, taking into account the individual needs of each user.

Personalization: MED3DRUK provides the ability to personalize orthoses and pads, which is important to ensure maximum comfort and take into account the personal needs of each user.

What are we doing?

MED3DRUK braces

The use of "MED3DRUK" orthoses allows to maximally improve the patient's quality of life in conditions where he needs to wear an immobilizing bandage.

  • Light weight and high strength. "MED3DRUK" orthoses are made of durable plastic, which ensures lightness and strength. Thus, even though the plastic cast on the leg or arm is several times lighter than the usual one, it surpasses the traditional plaster bandages in terms of strength and hardness.
  • Air penetration and water resistance. These properties of the product prevent the appearance of itching and irritation of the skin under it, and also allow you not to worry about protection from moisture. The patient can take a shower, rest on the beach, swim.
  • Repeats body contours. The plastic cast provides a perfect fit and almost does not restrict movement. The plastic cast on the leg is especially convenient, it allows you to wear shoes and move more comfortably.
  • Does not stick to the hair cover, which relieves the patient from painful sensations.
  • The orthosis is smooth, aesthetic and neat, odorless.
  • Does not cause allergic reactions.
  • The product is easily removed when needed (for example, for physiotherapy or hygiene procedures) and can be fixed again.
  • The product minimizes the risk of bedsores and scratches (prevents the development of soft tissue atrophy).

"MED3DRUK" overlays

The general purpose of using overlays on prosthetic legs is to restore the individual volume of the lost limb, allowing them to return to an active lifestyle and feel confident.

  • Personalization: Overlays allow users to express their individuality and style through an aesthetically pleasing design that matches their preferences and needs. Users have the ability to choose the design of the overlays, allowing them to choose a style that matches their individual preferences.
  • Protection of the prosthesis: The pads function as a protective shell that reduces wear and tear and the risk of damage to the prosthesis, thereby extending its service life.
  • Lightness and strength: The use of light and strong materials, such as plastic, allows you to reduce the weight of the prosthesis, while maintaining its strength and resistance to loads.
  • Convenience in care: They are easy to wash, which allows you to ensure a good level of hygiene and durability of the product.
  • Adaptation: Pads help users adapt in society by providing emotional and psychological support through increased self-esteem and confidence.

Our works

We use modern 3D printing and 3D scanning technologies, as well as a creative approach, to create personalized pads and orthoses for prosthetic legs. Our work reflects our mission to help people who have lost a leg regain their confidence and self-expression.
